A Christmas Story - December 24, 2006
Merry Christmas everyone!
(Or, Happy Hanukkah, everyone!)
(Or, Happy Kwanzaa, everyone!)
(Or, Happy Festivus, George Costanza's Dad!)
Anyway, since the obligatory Holiday greetings are over, here's a LONG overdue blog.
Or, as Kristen would put it:
"ahem.. update please :)"
As stated in the last blog, life is still crazy... and while I thought I was getting hold of it, Life was just winding up for another gale of insanity.
Disney kept me hopping with 3 full days a week of fun and work, while Tatame kept me up with 3 full nights a week of fun and photography. Meanwhile, Capones and babysitting kept popping up to keep my schedule as irregular as possible.
My photography even picked up pace and I did 3 or 4 photo shoots in the last 2 months!
Whew. Just typing that wore me out.
At any rate, my blogging fell to the wayside... sadly...
But now it's the Holidays, that time of year when you promise yourself that you'll do ridiculous things for the next twelve months, even though you sort of know you're magically off the hook in February when the next Holiday rears it's pink, heart-shaped head and you're scrambling to buy the biggest box of chocolates to keep you company that you swore off of only two months before....
(Or maybe that was just me two years ago...)
Anyway, one of my resolutions is to blog at least once a week.
(Or month.)
We'll see how that goes...
Christmas and the Holidays has inevitably added to my schedule, and everything kind of slid away from me. (Oh, and everyone on my list can expect their Christmas cards in early 2007...)
None the less, all through me missing Levi dearly (but happy that he's with his family for the first time in years), through my lack of Christmas cards and of one full day off, and through all the holiday hustle and bustle, I love Christmas and that beautiful Christmas Spirit, and so I have a Present, in the form of a heart-warming Holiday story, just for you.
(You. The one reader I have left after my impromptu blogging sabbatical....) =)

My Dance Captain Erik was watching our Dream Along with Mickey show at the Magic Kingdom where I dance and taking notes one day when a woman next to him tapped him on the shoulder.
"Aren't you in this show?" She inquired. He replied in the affirmative, and she explained that she and her daughter had watched the show yesterday.
Her daughter was a young paraplegic girl in a wheelchair who could not move any part of her body. She could not walk, talk, smile, or even laugh, and could only use one finger that could control her wheelchair and type on a keypad.
The mother was happy to meet a member of the cast and explained how much her daughter had enjoyed the show yesterday. She told Erik about how her daughter had typed excitedly on her keypad all though dinner the night before about how wonderful the show was, how much she liked the different aspects of the show, and how she wanted to see it again today.
But the most beautiful part about the story, and what really made me instantly appreciative of all of my amazing job, my health, and all of my blessings, was what the daughter actually wrote about the show itself.
She had typed out that since she had seen our show she knew what it felt like to smile for the first time.
